Double Six Racing Scholarship Final
Eligibility
Open by invitation only for successful entrants from the semi-final.
The final is free of charge for all participants. You will spend a full day at the circuit.
You get the chance to prove yourself on one of the circuits that the Clio Cup will visit in 2008 - The Croft International Race Circuit.
You will have the opportunity to meet the race team who will be supporting the winner throughout 2008.
This is your last chance to impress the panel of judges. The 2008 Double Six Racing Scholarship winner is decided at the end of the day.
Goal
To find the winner of the 2008 Double Six Racing Scholarship. Driving, Interview technique and your impression on the judges will all count towards the final decision.
Details
It's a final one day shootout to find the winner of the 2008 Double Six Racing Scholarship.
The day is split into three sessions. Driving, Interviews and an interview with the panel of judges. All three sessions will be taken into account in the decision as to who becomes the 2008 Double Six Racing Scholarship winner.
Driving
You will drive with two instructors each making notes on your driving ability. Lap times will also be taken into account. The circuit layout will be changed during the final to find out how quick a learner you are. You will also be timed whilst driving the new layout.
Interview
Throughout the day we will be holding TV/Radio style interviews. We are looking for the complete Race Driver package from the scholarship winner, so it is important that your interview technique is good. The interviews will also give us an idea on how you will handle the sponsors - an equally important part of the whole race driver package.
Panel Interview
The Panel of judges will also hold an interview with each of the finalists. You will need to impress them as this will be your last chance to grab a few more points for yourself.
Results
The winner of the 2008 Double Six Racing Scholarship will be selected based on Round One, Two, Semi-Final and Final results. The Final will be based on the three sessions during the day.
The prizes for the top three finalists will be handed out at the end of the day.
Winners Next Step
The winner of the Double Six Racing Scholarship will become a member of the Double Six Racing Team competing in the 2008 Clio Cup. Your race equipment will be provided following a visit to our supplier’s outlet. The winner will also take part in the last Official Clio Cup Test day before the season starts.
