Double Six Racing Scholarship Round 2

Eligibility
Open by invitation only for successful entrants from Round 1.

It costs £299 to participate in Round Two of the 2008 Double Six Racing Scholarship. You will spend ¾ a day at the circuit.

What an incentive to make it through to Round 2? The venue for the second round is the Croft International Race Circuit, North Yorkshire. Croft is one of the circuits that the Clio Cup will visit in the 2008 season. You may have seen your hero's racing around the circuit, now's your chance to have a go yourself - providing you can make it through to round two.

Goal
The main goal of this round is to see if you have improved from Round One.  You will need to put in to practice what you have been taught and show a general knowledge of motor racing

Details
There are two sessions a day. The first session starts at 9:00am with the second session starting at 11.00am.

You must be registered at the signing on desk at least 15 minutes before your start time.

The first group will work with the cars and instructors again, whilst the second group will start with a short examination and questionnaire. When the sessions are complete the groups will then swap over.

Car Session
Your instructor will be looking for an improvement in car control, speed and braking. Throughout the sessions you need show you have improved and learned what you were taught in round 1. The last session in the cars will be used as part of the results process.

Examination and Questionnaire
Don't let the word examination put you off. This short examination is designed to show you know what you are talking about when it comes down to motor racing. Amongst other areas covered will be Flags and best racing lines for corners on well known circuits.

You will also be asked to fill in a questionnaire about yourself.

Results
Results will be sent to you within three weeks of Round Two ending.
The successful competitors will be chosen on the basis of best lap times, examination results and answers to the questionnaires. Should you be successful you will be invited back for the Double Six Racing Scholarship semi-final.
