2008 Racing Scholarship
Double Six Racing Scholarship Semi-Final
Eligibility
Open by invitation only for successful entrants from Round 2.
The semi-final is free of charge for all participants. You will spend a full day on the scholarship..
We will invite 24 of the best candidates back for the scholarship semi-final. At the end of the day the top 10 entrants will be selected to come back the following day to the 2008 Double Six Racing Scholarship Final for the chance to win the ultimate scholarship prize in British motor sport - a Full Seasons racing in the 2008 Clio Cup Championship.
Goal
The main goal of the semi-final is to find who the smoothest and fittest drivers are.
Details
It's a one day shootout to get into the final.
The day is split into two sessions. A Go-Karting competition and a fitness test. All two sessions will be taken into account in the decision as to who makes it to the 2008 Double Six Racing Scholarship Final.
Karting
We will be holding a Karting competition with practice, timed qualifying, a semi-final and final.
The Three Sisters Race Circuit, nr Wigan will play host to the karting challenge.
Fitness test
We will be holding a fitness test during the course of the day with results going towards the decision as to who makes it through to the Double Six Racing Scholarship final.
The venue for the fitness test has to be finalised.
Results
Results are based on the two sessions during the day and your driving from Round Two. As stated earlier, the 10 Scholarship Finalists will be informed at the end of the Semi-Final day. A panel of judges will decide who has made it through to the final.
